Jays, I always thought of them as harsh, squawking, raucous, annoying devils, it wasn't until late in life that I fell in love with them.
It was when they took me into their confidence and shared with me their other calls that I grew fond of them, I have now identified five.
I'd heard their lilting love song for years but never suspected it was part of Blue Jay's repertoire.
